Weathering the Winter – Connie Camden
avatar

I know as long as earth endures
There is sure to be,
Those dreary winter seasons
That sneak up on you and me.

So heed this early warning
And take time to prepare.
Stock up on those essentials
And store up enough to share.

For we all need each other
In those dark and frigid days.
When life seems so cold
And winter comes our way.

Within the pantry of your souls
Be sure to store God’s word,
For it will keep you safe and warm
As you reflect on all you’ve heard.

Don’t let your heart be frozen
By the artic winds of sin,
For that’s where God’s love blooms
When you ask Jesus to come in.

And as He dwells within your heart
You’ll find you’re not alone,
Just knowing that He is with you
Will help you to press-on.

So with these simple preparations
And God’s Spirit as your mentor,
It will certainly be much easier
Weathering The Winter.

The Way in the Waves – Connie Camden
avatar

When in my suffering I saw
The hand of Him who saves
It was then I realized,
Not for my harm, but for His good
I must ride these waves.

Just as the Tide moves in,
And washes clean the shore
This boat I’m in,
Though tossed about
Will lead me to my Lord.

So thank you God for those times
You allow the waves to stay,
For in those waves I realize
You truly know the way.

Thirst No More – Connie Camden
avatar

This world will offer many things
To try and quench your thirst
Yet nothing satisfies a soul
Like putting Jesus first.

And many times you’ve tried to fill
Your life with other things
Only to be hurt
By the pain they often bring.

So if you’re tired of traveling
To that broken well
Look up and talk to Jesus
And put down your empty pail.

He will quench your thirsty soul
And take away your shame
If you accept His Living Water
Then you’ll never be the same.

And when he asks you for a drink
Just give him everything
Receive the cup he offers you
Then let your praises ring.

Shout to all you know
That you met this man named Christ
Who knew everything about you
Yet still offered you his life.

So won’t you come and see
This Savior of the World
He took me in, saved me from sin
Come meet this Christ, My Lord!

And if you choose to take a sip
And let His living waters pour
Into your heart and soul
Then you too will Thirst No More.
