Cindy Noonan resides in Northeast Pennsylvania with her husband of fifty years, Frank. They have five children and ten grandchildren. She speaks in schools about American slavery and the Underground Railroad. Her middle grade historical novel about a boy’s escape from slavery, Dark Enough to See the Stars, earned a silver medal from Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards. She believes learning our history can be a valuable tool in the fight against racism.
