Spencer West achieved what is impossible for most. He scaled the tallest mountain in Africa: Mt Kilimanjaro at 19,300 ft. While even elite climbers find the mountain extraordinarily difficult to climb, West had an even greater challenge. He was making the climb with no legs. He had a spinal disorder which required both legs to be amputated as a child. He climbed this mountain to raise money for a Kenyan Charity. In other words, he did the impossible for love.
When we are called by a cause greater than ourselves, there are no limits to what God can do in and through us. The greatest cause of all is the call of Christ. When the angel Gabriel came to Mary and told her what was to come, the young girl had questions, but Gabriel told her that she needed to look beyond herself. Nothing is impossible with God. God called her to do the impossible and then empowered her through the Holy Spirit to walk it out.
If God has called you to do something, He will empower you, provide for you, plan it out for you, and guide you in splendid ways as He gets the glory for doing what man could never do on his own.
When God calls you out it may be so great it scares you away. But don’t worry. Just lean into the power that created the universe, and allow Him to redefine possible for you.
