When I was a child, I was told people watch us because we represent Christ. Being tired and crabby at the end of the day is no excuse for poor representation.
Sadly, I have been unpleasant over trivial things, such as when the grocery store does not have the item I need or it takes too long in the checkout line. When I act out, the Holy Spirit convicts me, and I return to apologize to those I wronged. I have even gotten all the way home and had to return. As a Christian, I should not act this way. Instead, I should show others the love of Christ.
People are stressed and hurting. When we are unkind, we aren’t Jesus to others. It can be challenging to be patient when we are tired. As Christians, we cannot be like the world. Instead, we are called to be different. We should always ask ourselves, “Would Jesus act this way?”
We should always be Jesus to people by being patient and loving others wherever they are. Jesus loved us, and we should love each other.
Think of ways you can show the love of Jesus to others.
