I once had a drawer at work where I kept personal things, yet my supervisor told me I could only keep it if I kept it clean. I disagreed with him. This was my personal space, so I should be able to do what I wanted. My drawer, whether messy or clean, did not affect my work. I removed everything from the drawer to keep me from getting angry at my supervisor. Sometimes, we must do things in advance to stop that angry rant.
Paul says to stop being angry before the end of the day. The Devil wants to defeat us. On numerous occasions, I have let Satan defeat me, and I paid a heavy price. Once, I dated someone but had concerns about our relationship. One day, I lost my cool and, as a result, lost that relationship.
When I see a situation that will upset me, I bite my tongue and exercise self-control. Timing is everything. We must deal with these situations at the right time and in the right way. Prayer is often the best option. Taking care of our anger before it comes out sideways is essential.
Take care of your anger before it takes care of you. Do not let Satan defeat you.
