The Changes of Life

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  Hebrews 13:8 NCV

Since I was in a high school group at church then, I knew I had to move to a college group, but I had difficulty associating with older people.

After high school, I attended a vocational-technical school in a small town. It was a tough change because I was used to living in the big city, and the school was far from home.

I also changed careers. I used to be involved in the television industry. Minnesota is unique because many TV stations broadcast their news programs from the state fair. Watching the camera people and the floor directors do their jobs caught my interest. It was hard to leave the career I loved. Another big change in my life was when I moved from Minneapolis, St. Paul, to Marion, Illinois, and then to the St. Louis area.

Change is difficult because we lose our friends and relationships with people from church. However, we experience many changes throughout our lives.

The one comfort I have experienced while undergoing change is knowing Jesus never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. No matter how many changes we experience in life, Jesus does not change.

Whenever you are sad about a change, remember that Jesus does not change.
