While resting on a brilliant, sunny autumn afternoon, I reflected that I was a happy camper. I was bright and chirpy after smiling and greeting the neighbors on my daily walk. We were all keeping well and enjoying this stage of our lives. Over the years, I have learned that enjoying simple things, such as my faith in the Lord, makes me happy. A simple approach to God and His Son is a good approach.
We have a great and good faith. Yes, I have been in need, but the Lord stood by me, and I kept my faith. I had basic clothes and ate simple foods, which were all good. I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. This text guides us to keep our worship simple and to humbly adore Jesus’ great love. We should also develop His gifts for the greater good of others.
Our Lord Jesus can bring each believer endless love. He is our companion along life’s path. I, too, can write this because I am content. I enjoy my golden years, these golden days, because of my Savior. Loving Jesus in our fellowship brings joy, sharing, and good times.
Keeping our prayer life uncomplicated but meaningful is also always beneficial. So is staying in touch with our faith and our family and friends wherever they are. We can keep it simple because simple things like our faith and prayers are good for us all.
