The Blooming Through Faith gratitude journal, created by two friends, is now one of the new prayer flowers in my prayer garden. I journaled that I am grateful for spiritual resources that help me be with God in different ways.
Along with the journaling prompts, I also appreciate the 30 Daily Affirmations and Daily Prayers, such as I am rooted in faith and bloom with purpose, and Dear God, please guide me with wisdom on my path of growth.
I have been adding these one-line affirmations and prayers to my daily journaling journey, which has become another way to pray and add beautiful flowers to my prayer garden.
I’ve been journeying through the Book of Psalms. I was happy to see Psalm 119’s 22 sections broken up with subtitles in The Passion Translation. I have been chewing on a section each day during my devotional time.
When I reached verse 14 in the second section, True Joy, my heart leaped with joy because this verse accurately describes my life: I find more joy in following what you tell me to do than in chasing after all the wealth of the world.
To know what God tells us to do, we must seek Him through His Word and prayer. This is precisely where peace and purpose coexist. Because of the various ways we can pray, it often feels as if I am growing a prayer garden with different types of prayer flowers.
There are various ways to enrich our prayer life. I even pray with my whole body on my exercise mat, which I find to be a glorious prayer in motion. Since God planted a love of rhyme in me from childhood, I now plant this type of flower in my prayer garden by speaking with God through poetic prayers.
Think of some types of prayer flowers you can plant with your Master Gardener in your prayer garden.
