Deserving God’s Help

He has not punished us as our sins should be punished; he has not repaid us for the evil we have done.  Psalm 103:10 NCV

Sometimes, I let my temper get the best of me, and others have witnessed it. But in my heart, I want to show others that I am a Christian, despite not feeling I deserve to be called one.

However, I feel my temper has improved, and I always ask the Lord to keep me in check. The problem is that Satan knows my weakness and puts situations in my life that he knows will make me angry. I need to realize when these situations arise and tell Satan to get behind me.

Paul talks about the war within us. He talks about how we don’t do what we want to do but rather things we hate. I know how Paul feels because I am also in a battle with myself.

There is good news, however. Jesus knew we would struggle and provided a remedy for us. He died on the cross so that He could take away our sins. We can also ask for help from the Lord, who will aid us. We need to call upon the name of the Lord and accept Him into our hearts. Then, the next step is to ask Him for help.
