Taste God

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.  Psalm 34:8 NIV

That first sip of coffee wakes up something in our bodies and minds. When we were kids, our parents told us breakfast was the most important meal of the day. Today, coffee is that meal for many.

Just as David speaks about tasting and seeing that the Lord is good, we should want God as our first meal of the day. We are created in God’s image and should want to hunger and thirst for His Word, presence, and protection. Our spirits should want more, as we do with coffee.

Coffee happens in a moment, but God isn’t just a moment. He is every second, minute, and hour of the day.

Take a sip of God’s coffee. You won’t want to go back.
