Living in the country, we often see various kinds of turtles and snakes, as well as deer, rabbits, foxes, hawks, vultures, owls, and other wildlife. And I don't care how many animals we see in the wild; it's always a big deal. One time, as my wife and I walked on a nearby trail, we saw a six-inch catfish fall from the sky and land about four feet in front of us. Obviously, some poor bird lost its lunch.
Whenever I read the creation story, I think of all I have seen: fish, game, the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, the Black Hills, the Florida Keys, Jamaica's massive bamboo forests, and Nicaragua's active volcanoes. What our Creator has given us is His love in action. He said, "Let there be," and there was.
I don't understand how anyone can live in this world without being thankful for all God has created. This world is gorgeous. I realize we've messed it up quite a bit, but God's creation still shines through.
Our thankfulness should also shine through. We all must be reminded of the goodness of our God, and the best way to do that is by caring for what He has given us.
Think of some ways you can appreciate and care for God’s creation.
