My Uncle’s Eye

Commit your ways to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.  Psalm 37:5 NKJV

He had undergone a series of medical examinations and was certified for eye surgery, but finances posed a huge hindrance.

The money contributed by family and friends was not enough. On the eve of the surgery, I called my uncle, and he told me he had faith and trust in God that the money would be completed. Later that night, at about 9:45 p.m. Nigerian time, the balance was sent, and the required amount was achieved. He had the surgery the next day.

The psalmist says we should first commit our ways to God (Psalm 37:5). Then we should trust Him for those things we categorise as difficult, dark, addictive, impossible, and stubborn. After this, we can see how He will bring them to pass in our lives.

It is not fair for believers to think that putting our trust in God to get pregnant, to receive that promotion or recommendation at our place of work, or anything else is a waste of time. We should always trust God in all circumstances.

How many disappointments have chilled your trust and belief in Christ? Let the Word of God boost your faith. You can trust Him one more time to bring that nasty situation to an end.
